Validation in combo

Hi, is there some kind of validation in combobox in kiwi? Or maybe somebody
knows
how to do some kind of it.

And one more thing, I have 5k rows in database and it is necessary to push
all of them into
combo ( as well as keep there to be able to proxy my models), actually i did
it,  it works
nice, but takes about 40 sec to load and about 5 to chose row in it.
(Celeron 2Gz, 512Mb
RAM, Ubuntu Linux  2.6.20-16).  Have no idea how to optimize it (database is
mysql,
well-optimized).

My last optimization was adding kind of search bar for combo, and it works
fine on adding
but awful when I want to set model with data set. Thx.
