Angela was born on March 20th, 1962.  Angela's father was Aloisio Brandao de Carvalho and her mother is Maria Gilda Rodrigues de Mattos.  Her paternal grandparents were Antônio da Silva Carvalho and Teresa Rodrigues Brandão; her maternal grandparents were Mario Porto de Mattos and Maria Euphrasia Cunha Rodrigues de Mattos.  She is the second of three children.  She has two brothers named Alberto and Antonio Mario.
