Maria Antônia was born on June 13th, 1904 in Ponta Porã. Maria Antônia's father was Coronel? José (Pai Velho) Alves da Silveira and her mother was Amália (Mãe Velha) dos Santos.  Her maternal grandparents were dos Santos and Carolina.  She was the oldest of two children.  She had a sister named Douralia.  She had eight half-brothers named Carmelita, Luis, Laudilina, da Silveira, da Silveira, da Silveira, da Silveira and da Silveira.  She died at the age of 88 in 1992.
