From bt@async.com.br Wed Feb 13 18:14:45 2002 Date: Wed, 13 Feb 2002 11:29:05 -0200 (BRST) From: Bruno Trevisan To: Christian Robottom Reis Subject: mozse/nc2000 review Kiko Slide 4: items should be idented inside the section parts (covered and non-covered) Slide 5: item `'* Requirements and design both inherit from original codebases: Netscape 5 and post-rewrite, Netscape 6/7 NGLayout'' may be skiped, legacy from netscape and the existance of a new generation layout was mentioned on slide 3 and again on slide 6 Slide 8: merge all items related to the use and influence of Bugzilla on a single item, slide 9 will give the details. Slide 9: links will not work (no Internet, you said...) and if they do, you won't have time to browse through them. Maybe 3 screenshots for the links you consider more important could ilustrate well and not spend too much time. Item `'* Bugs are reported by users or proxies (Commercial and/or embedded product bugs)'' the parethesis can be striped off, you explained before who the proxies are. Slide 10: the specialUI link/screenshot is what I mean for slide 9 Slide 11: 1st item can be removed, since all of the listed items are mentioned below it. Slide 12: can be made in two sections: Bonsai * Web interface to CVS functions * keeps logs of all changes committed to repository, and allows queries to it * Features: diff, blame, graph, log -> links here point to the slide itself, what about pointing them to screenshots? Tinderbox * automated build and regression system * Cluster of compilation boxes submit reports to master * Interesting UI provides visual feedback on status of tip -> same problem/solution with the link Strip off the last item, saying it is enough Slide 13: no need to keep repeating the term QA. Put it on the title and just describes its tasks. I think thats it. Pay atention to the presentation time, you have 35 min for 12 slides (not considering cover and closing), which is 3.5 min for each one, media. Do not comento too much deep on the items, they have enough detail in it ans presentations cover pretty well the subject. good luck BT ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- bt@async.com.br Async Open Source +55 (16) 272.3330 (16) 9781.8717 http://www.async.com.br/ Rua Santa Cruz,462 13560-680 São Carlos - SP
